Think the Car Business is going away?…..Think Again!!

Ive been asked this question many times in my years of this business, even back in the 1980′s when people were saying that computers will take over and the days of the salesperson will be gone. Well it’s 26 years later and it has been better than ever, and maybe the answers to these questions are why….

Q. If the purchasing of vehicles went away, who would be affected?
A. Banks..they lend the money, now since the Real Estate market is down they need car loans more than ever…Oil Companies…Can you imagine that industry without cars?….Insurance companies, no explanation necessary….steel mills, glass, electronics, tire, paint, even down to leather manufacturers would be affected. Advertising…Billions are spent each year marketing cars, take that away and everything form TV stations to newspapers will suffer. Government…Taxes on new vehicles are a major revenue source. The list goes on and on!!!!!

Q. What happens when a vehicle “Wears Out” or gets “Wrecked or Totaled”?
A. You have to get another one.

Q. Can you imagine living without a vehicle today?
A. Unless you’re in a mass transit area, you must have a vehicle for multiple reasons, from going to work or the grocery store,etc. I, myself, could not imagine life without transportation…Can You?

Q. More people are getting their drivers license’s today more than ever in u.s. history, so what does that mean?
A. It would be obvious…just like most of us, the first thing we wanted when we got ours was a CAR !!

Q. What happens if the Car business slows?
A. One of the coolest things I’ve seen in the business was in 2009 when the car business dipped due to the real estate market…Usually manufacturers would come out with huge incentives to spike sales, but not this time!! The Government stepped in with Cash for Clunkers…Did it work? You bet it did!!! If you were selling cars during that time, You Loved It!! The “Cool” part is seeing that the government even knows how important this industry is.

This Business has Blessed me over the years and I have come to realize that if it were gone tomorrow there’s absolutely no way this country could survive financially…It Really is too big to fail… THAT is what I consider job security!!!
